EARTHMOVER CREDIT UNION Returns $600,000 to its members

(Oswego, IL – 02/2018) Earthmover Credit Union (ECU) is pleased to announce that because of their strong financial position in 2017, their Board of Directors has authorized a loyalty bonus payout of $600,000 to be paid out to qualified ECU members whose activity with ECU in 2017 contributed to Earthmover’s success. This loyalty reward will be paid out in the month of February 2018 automatically to qualifying members. The amount of the loyalty reward each member will receive is based on the member’s activity with ECU in 2017 related to three areas of business: Savings, Loans, and active Products. This giving back is what makes credit unions a little different from other financial institution.

EARTHMOVER CREDIT UNION To Host BBQ For Local Man

Chad was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Adenocarcinoma in his esophagus after a routine doctor’s appointment.  In March, Chad went through 5 weeks of Chemo and radiation.  Chad will undergo surgery April 27th and will not be able to work.  All donations will go towards Chads medical needs.

EARTHMOVER CREDIT UNION Celebrates Grand Opening of New Retail Branch

(Oswego, IL – 07/2018) Celebrations are in store for Earthmover Credit Union as they open the doors to their new branch located on the adjacent lot near their main office on Baseline Road. Earthmover Credit Union needed additional space for their growing staff while also remaining in a location that would continue to serve their membership. To celebrate their new building, Earthmover Credit Union plans to hold a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 from 12pm-3pm with refreshments, giveaways, and more that is open to members and the community.

Earthmover Credit Union wanted a branch that was modern, bright, and reflected their brand values offered a welcoming environment. They partnered with financial institution design experts, La Macchia Group, to design and build their new branch. “We are honored to work with Earthmover Credit Union to bring to life their vision to better service their members and community,” stated Ben Schweder, Director of Business Development at La Macchia Group. Earthmover wanted their members to have access to additional amenities and improve the overall member experience within their branch. La Macchia Group designed an open concept layout with private offices surrounding the main lobby. This layout allows for easy wayfinding throughout the branch designed to enhance the branch experience. New amenities within this branch include an iPad Station, a modern teller line, and a new drive-thru with ATM services. At the iPad Station, members can work directly with Earthmover staff to utilize financial resources and more. The new branch features all new finishes that embody the Earthmover brand mission.

EARTHMOVER CREDIT UNION Awards Four College Scholarships

(Oswego, IL – 05/2019) Earthmover Credit Union (ECU) recently awarded four Teen Investment Program college scholarships totaling $4000 to four local high school students. The tiered scholarships (1st Place: $2000, 2nd Place: $1000, 3rd Place: $500, and a 4th Place: $500) were awarded to these four students. The winners were based on outstanding academics, extracurricular involvement, and an essay about an experience from their life and how it influenced their development.

This year’s winners are:

    1st Place: Caitlin Guist , Oswego IL: State University of Iowa, Nursing

    2nd Place: Audrey Dyer, Aurora, IL: Wake Forest University, Economics

    3rd Place: Jared Pavlick, Oswego, IL: University of Michigan, Biomedical Engineering

    4th Place: Elizabeth Uhrhammer, Aurora, IL: Drake University, Actuarial Science

EARTHMOVER CREDIT UNION Announces New President and Chief Officer

(Oswego, IL – 06/2019) The $288 million Earthmover Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Kelly McDonough as the credit union’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.

“We are delighted to welcome Kelly to Earthmover Credit Union. She is a proven leader and her strong background of both financial expertise and industry experience will ensure continued excellence of service to our membership,” said Chairperson of the Board, James Burkiewicz.

McDonough brings with her over 30 years of industry experience and has been a successful credit union CEO for the past 16 years. She comes to Earthmover Credit Union from Glacier Hills Credit Union, a $139 million credit union in West Bend, Wisconsin which she has led since 2017. Prior to this, she led First Alliance Credit Union, a $198 million credit union in Rochester, Minnesota for 13 years. McDonough also held management level positions at Vermont Federal Credit Union and New England Federal Credit Union. McDonough holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, a Master of Science in Business Continuity Management from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont, and is a certified public accountant.

McDonough says about her new role, “I am very much looking forward to making the move to Earthmover Credit Union. I am proud of my career achievements to date within the credit union community, and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead leading the organization, and serving the membership at EarthMover Credit Union.”
