Earthmover Credit Union Kicks Off Aurora Remodel with Wall Breaking
Earthmover Credit Union (ECU) held a wall-breaking ceremony on Aug. 21 to kick off a major remodel of its Aurora branch. This remodel will modernize the branch and enhance member experience as the last stage of ECU’s rebrand.
“Our Farnsworth branch is one of our oldest branches, but just like banking keeps evolving, it is also time for our branch to evolve,” Executive Vice President Janel Cabadas said. “We are looking forward to bringing to life a more inviting branch that will meet both our member and staff needs.”
The event was attended by ECU staff, and many took part in putting the first holes in the wall. Director of Marketing Marisa Medgyesi was one of the staff members who wielded a sledgehammer.
“Breaking the wall symbolized our commitment to moving forward—embracing innovation and enhancing our office to better serve our community,” Medgyesi said. “This remodel represents our dedication to creating a more vibrant space for financial resources and collaboration.”
The branch, located at 1735 N. Farnsworth Ave., Aurora, is closed until October, when only the drive-up will reopen. The branch lobby will remain closed for the duration of the project. The remodel is expected to be completed in November 2024, but exact dates are still being finalized and are subject to change. ECU invites members to check earthmovercu.com for the latest updates regarding the remodel.
ECU is partnering with The Redmond Company, a Wisconsin-based integrated design and construction company that specializes in financial institutions. The Yorkville branch recently reopened following renovations, and all branches are expected to undergo a similar transformation over the next 18 months. The final result will be a cohesive look that ties each branch back to the ECU brand, signifying its valuable contribution to the community as a mission-driven financial institution.
